Daily Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive Istanbul Meet, assistance and transfer to your hotel. Overnight in Istanbul.
Day 2: Full day tour of Istanbul Visit Topkapi Palace, former residence of the Ottoman Sultans, Blue Mosque, St. Sophia Basilica, Hippodrome and the Grand bazaar. Overnight in Istanbul. (B,L)
Day 3: Istanbul / Gallipoli / Canakkale Drive to Gallipoli's famous WW 1 sites. Visit Anzac Cove and Lone Pine Cemetery then cross the Dardanelles waterway to Asia. Overnight in Canakkale. (B, D)
Day 4: Canakkale / Troy / Pergamum Morning visit ancient Troy's legendary walls and a replica of the famous wooden horse, then to Pergamum's Acropolis where you will see the Altar of Zeus. Finally, Asklepeion the famous medical center of the ancient world. Overnight in Kusadasi. (B, D)
Day 5: Kusadasi / Ephesus / Kusadasi Tour of the famous site of Ephesus, one of the world's finest archaeological sites. Walk in its well preserved 2000 year old marble streets to the theatre, library of Celsius, gymnasium and Hadrian's temple. Next visit is to the House of Virgin Mary, and then The Temple of Artemis and St. John Basilica. Overnight in Kusadasi. (B, D)
Day 6: Kusadasi / Pamukkale After breakfast, drive through fertile valleys Pamukkale, this means “Cotton Castle” in Turkish, describing the white lime cascades formed by mineral springs. Visit the runs of the Roman health spa center of Hierapolis. After checking in the hotel, enjoy the thermal pool. Overnight in Pamukkale (B, D)
Day 7: Pamukkale / Antalya In the morning, drive to Antalya. After is free to enjoy the sunshine, and swimming. Overnight in Antalya (B, D)
Day 8: Antalya After breakfast, full day tour to discover Hellenistic and Roman treasures as the colonnade street of Perge, the magnificently preserved 15.000 persons capacity theatre of Aspendos. Overnight in Antalya. (B, D)
Day 9: Antalya / Konya In the morning, visit Archeological museum of Antalya. Afternoon depart Antalya for Konya for overnight. (B, D)
Day 10: Konya / Cappadocia In the morning visit Mevlana's Mausoleum, founder of the Whirling Dervishes, and the Karatay Koran School, displaying colorful Turkish tiles. After depart for Cappadocia. Overnight in Cappadocia (B, D)
Day 11: Cappadocia Visit Goreme Valley with its 6Th - 10Th century rock chapels decorated with Christian frescoes, and Kaymakli, the eight-story underground city. Visit the pottery making village of Avanos and Zelve's Byzantine monastic complex. Overnight in Cappadocia. (B, D)
Day 12: Cappadocia /Ankara In the morning depart for Ankara, and visit 13Th century Seljuk Caravan inn of Agzikarahan. After arrival in Ankara visit the Mausoleum of Ataturk, founder of modern Turkey, and the museum of Anatolian Civilizations with its Hittite treasures and artifacts from the world's oldest city. Overnight in Ankara. (B, D)
Day 13: Ankara / Gordion / Bursa Travel through the heart of Anatolia toward Bursa, the first capital of the Ottoman Empire, at the foot of "Mt. Olympus" in ancient Asia Minor. En route, visit Gordion, where according to the legend Alexander the great cut the Gordion Knot and opened the way to Asia. In the late afternoon visit Green Mosque, and Ottoman Complex. Overnight in Bursa. (B, D)
Day 14: Bursa / Istanbul In the morning visit colorful Silk bazaar in Bursa. Then, proceed to Istanbul. After arrival, enjoy a relaxing cruise along the Bosphorus that separates Europe and Asia. Overnight in Istanbul (B, D)
Day 15: Istanbul Transfer to the airport for your departure flight. (B)
